Hey, Jessie here.
You're reading this because at some point, you read something I wrote on Medium, or maybe my blog. It was probably about online business or copywriting.
And then you got suckered into subscribed to my email list. We became buddies.
But then I stopped writing for a while because I had a baby, and my husband went through an intensive surgery process, and we moved across town, and life is one giant carnival of crazy so HERE WE ARE.
Bottom line: I'm so happy you're still around 🥰
Anyway, I've moved this newsletter over to Substack
That's right—while you were sleeping, I packed up you and all the other lovely subscribers in a big cardboard box and brought you over to the new digs. (I hope it wasn't too bumpy of a ride? I added lots of bubble wrap, but then I couldn't stop popping it...)
Substack is a newsletter platform that hosts each entry like a blog post. I was previously using ConvertKit—and while I love their tools for creators, Substack is a better fit for what I need right now.
Welcome to our new home
This newsletter has a name now!
The Jumble is a newsletter about life's messiness—and how, perhaps, to navigate it. It's the beginnings of a community. A meeting place for those who want to make meaning in the mess.
At the end of the day I’ll still be talking about the same sort of topics I always have (life experiments, career choices, creativity, etc.). But now we have a true gathering place to take the discussion deeper.
A few things you can expect from this newsletter moving forward:
Life lessons from a marketer-turned-writer-turned-parent (me) who continually blows up and rebuilds her life (in a good way)
Occasional thoughts on kids, costume-making, home DIY projects, and other hobbies that make life fun
Book, article, and podcast recommendations
Quality over quantity (…which is my clever way to tell you that I cannot commit to any kind of a consistent publishing schedule yet. Any complaints can be sent to the 5-month-old currently screeching on my lap.)
For now, this newsletter is entirely free. I love to make my best stuff widely accessible. But there’s certainly room for a paid tier in the future, perhaps? Stay tuned ;)
And finally, if this is in your inbox, you're already subscribed. Lucky you! But if you're reading this on Substack, you can join us here:
So please make yourself at home. I'm still unpacking over here, but I think there's some hot chocolate in the pantry? Get cozy, and I'll be back here soon.
Jessie
